EchemTest per Lauree Magistrali

LAUREA MAGISTRALE IN SCIENZE CHIMICHE

Dopo la domanda di ammissione la preparazione personale dei candidati sarà verificata con le seguenti modalità:

a) Superamento dell´European Chemistry tests per l´accertamento delle competenze in Chimica, erogato dalla European Chemistry Thematic Network. Il test prevede domande, in lingua inglese, a risposta multipla su argomenti raggruppati in quattro sezioni: di Chimica Analitica, Chimica Inorganica, Chimica Organica e Chimica Fisica.
Per svolgere il test è necessario un documento di identificazione e, per superarlo, é necessario fornire almeno il 16% di risposte esatte in ognuna delle quattro sezioni del test.

b) Superato il test, lo studente sarà ammesso ad un colloquio con la Commissione d´Accesso che verterà su argomenti relativi alle discipline trattate nei corsi fondamentali della laurea in Chimica.
Il colloquio potrà essere effettuato anche prima della laurea (che ai fini dell´immatricolazione dovrà essere conseguita entro il 31 dicembre 2019), fatto salvo il possesso dei requisiti curriculari.
L´esito negativo conseguito nel colloquio comporta la preclusione all´accesso al corso di laurea magistrale per l´anno in corso.

L'EChemTest si svolgerà secondo il seguente calendario:

• 25 settembre 2019 alle ore 8.30 presso le aule informatizzate del Settore Didattico di Via Celoria 20 - Milano.
• Il 26 settembre, alle ore 13:30, si svolgeranno i colloqui per la verifica dei requisiti curriculari e della preparazione personale dei candidati che hanno superato l'EChemtest.

Circa una settimana prima del test sarà necessario creare un account sul sito dell'Echemtest, seguendo le istruzioni che saranno pubblicate sempre qui.

Ai fini della migliore pianificazione della didattica gli studenti sono tenuti a compilare il modulo per l'indicazione di un piano di studio preliminare scaricabile da questa stessa pagina. Una volta compilato, il modulo potrò essere consegnato all'atto del colloquio oppure all'Ufficio Didattica del Dipartimento di Chimica entro il 14 ottobre 2019.

Un'ulteriore edizione dell'EChemTest si svolgerà il 18 dicembre alle ore 8.30 presso lo studio del professor Michele Ceotto, Dipartimento di Chimica, via Golgi, 19 - Milano, con successivo colloquio per la verifica dei requisiti curriculari e della preparazione personale dei candidati.

Per una migliore pianificazione della didattica tutti i candidati, compresi quelli che prevedono di laurearsi entro il 31 dicembre 2019, sono caldamente invitati a presentarsi al primo colloquio d´ammissione.

I laureati che avranno superato con esito positivo le prove di verifica potranno immatricolarsi dopo 5 giorni lavorativi dalla data della verifica e nei termini indicati dal portale Unimi.

MASTER'S DEGREE IN INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY

After the application for admission there is the check of personal skills

The personal skills of each candidate will be ascertained through an interview on topics related to the subjects covered in the fundamental courses of the bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry. The interview may also be carried out before graduation (which, for the purpose of registration, has to be achieved by December 31st, 2019), subject to the curricular requirements.
The interview will be conducted by the Commission for Access. The failure of the interview prevents the access to the MSc in Industrial Chemistry for the current year.

The Personal Skill will be verified by the following methods:
a) the European Chemistry Tests granted by the European Chemistry Thematic Network
(http://ectn.eu/committees/virtual-education-community/echemtest/) for the accrual of expertise in Chemistry. The test includes questions, in English, with multiple answers, on topics of the five areas of Analytical, Inorganic, Organic, Industrial  and Physical Chemistry. In order to pass the test, students must answer correctly to at least 16%
of the questions in each of the fivethematic areas. The time allowed to perform the test is 4 hours.
To perform the test, the Candidate will be asked to show a valid identification document.

b ) After passing the test, an interview with the Access Commission will take place on topics related to fundamental aspects of core disciplines of the degree in Industrial Chemistry and to ascertain the knowledge of the English language. The test to verify the personal and language skills is selective even in the case the curricular requirements listed above are recognized; the negative outcome prevents the access for the current year.

For admission in 2019/20 the EchemTest and the interviews to ascertain the curricular requirements and the adequacy of personal skills of candidates will take place on the following dates:

• September 25th, 2019, at 8:30 a.m., at the Sector Academic Via Celoria 20, Milan. The next day at 1:30 p.m. there will be the interview to verify the possession of the curricular requirements and the adequacy of the personal preparation of the candidates that performed the EChemTest.
• December 18th, 2019, at 8.30 a.m., at the office professor Michele Ceotto, Department of Chemistry, Via Golgi, 19 - Milan. The interview to verify the personal preparation of candidates will follow.

About a week before the test you will need to create an account on the Echemtest site, following the instructions that will always be published here.

For the best planning of the educational activities, students are required to fill the module for the indication of a preliminary study plan downloadable from this same page. Once completed, the module can be delivered at the interview or to the Didactic Office of the Department of Chemistry by October 14, 2019.

All candidates, including those expecting to graduate before, december 31st, 2019, are strongly suggested to apply for interview in september.

Only graduates who have successfully passed the verification test can be enrolled in Industrial Chemistry.
The registration will take place after 5 working days and under the terms and conditions indicated in the web site of the University of Milan.
